Hi everyone, Coach Mike Darland here to tell you about our Summer Diving Camp. First, let me say, we welcome all divers, of all levels. There will be Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced and Nationally Ranked divers attending our camp. There will be specific times and coaches for each of these groups.
Camp will run Mondays through Fridays.
Purchase College
Purchase College is located at 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577. Directions to the pool: After entering the College entrance you will take your first right. This road takes you around the campus. The first building you see on your right (about a mile down), is the Physical Education Building. Parking is behind the building. Divers will walk up the hill wearing a mask to the outside trampoline area. Coaches will greet you there.
Beginner/ Intermediate/ Advanced Divers - Arrive at 8:45am - Depart 10:45am
Beginners are new to the sport of diving. (I love beginners because they have no bad habits :)
Intermediate Divers are able to do at least 5 dives which include a forward and backward somersault.
Advanced Divers have competed at diving meets on both 1 & 3 meter.
Advanced/National Team Divers - Arrive at 10:00am- Depart 12:00 Noon
This group of divers have a full list of dives for their age group on 1 and 3 meter and can perform a reverse dive and reverse somersault.
Due to the requirements of the pool and hours, payment for our summer camp needs to be separate from our regular High Dive Champions diving session.
Registration needs to be for a minimum of two weeks but can be for as many weeks you would like to attend. ( There is a maximum so "first come, first serve".)
Weeks of Camp: Lewisboro 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, Purchase College 8/3, 8/10, 8/17, 8/24 & 8/31

Things to expect:
At Purchase College you will be dropped off at the parking lot behind the Physical Education Building. You will not enter the building but will walk up the grassy hill where you will see trampolines and a High Dive Coach who will greet you. Before you walk up the hill please wear your mask. Divers will remain 6 feet apart at all times during the practice. When you arrive your coach will take attendance and take your temperature with a no-touch thermometer as required by the board of health. If you have a temperature higher than allowable by the board of health you will need to return home.
After our dryland stretch and drills we will separate into our groups and begin our practice at different stations (1-meter diving boards, 3-meter boards, dryland area or trampolines).
Please Note: The grassy drylands area and trampolines are in the beautiful sun and there is no shade. Please apply sunscreen before arriving to practice. Also please eat before arriving. I would like divers to be hydrated and have something in their stomachs so energy levels can remain high throughout the practice.
There will be a restroom available at practices but I encourage divers to use their home bathroom before they come to practice. If a diver or coach uses the single stall bathroom, they will need to use hand sanitizer before entering & after use. Hand sanitizer will be supplied at the pool by coaches also.
Parents and Caregivers are asked to drop-off and pick-up divers in the parking lot. Parents are allowed to walk divers up to the coaches if they have a question or need to meet a coach. This arrangement should be planned in advance. Only divers & coaches are permitted to enter the indoor pool area.
